First Time Using Isomalt

I have never used isomalt before.

im going to be making gems to go on a wedding cake.

 

Im just not really sure how to use them or really what to do.

i got a mould.

 

hoping someof you could help me out.

Hi - It's easy to make gems from isomalt. Go to www.cakeplay.com. Under their "Information" tab, on the right-hand side, you'll see an instruction sheet on how to make gems. Good luck!

AAll you need, is a super clean pan, bottle of water (not tap) and a thermometer that reaches high temps. Isomalt ia super easy! There are tons of great links with temp ranges and tricks. Just be careful not to spill it. Good luck :)

Make sure you know which kind you have though. Some isomalt is all ready to go, and you just melt it, but some of it needs to be cooked first, like described above.
