I purchased 50 pre-made royal icing roses for wedding desserts. In the picture online they looked to be a light lavender color but in person they are unmistakably purple. I don't want to waste them and think they will still be usable but I was hoping to lighten them up a little...would brushing them with a white or light colored luster dust be a bad idea? Can anyone tell me how to go about doing that? Thank you!

Don't bother buying white dust, use cornstarch, but try it on the back of one first to see if you get the colour you like.
