AI've made a handful of cakes that I'm proud of, mostly for family members, but my latest cake is my first paid commission! YAY!! It was especially fun because the birthday girl and I share a profound love of Hello Kitty :) Anyway, I'm so exhausted and happy with how it turned out, I couldn't wait to share it here:

For the cake itself, I used a vanilla/chocolate layering technique that I found here on CC, that should result in a zebra-stripe effect. I won't have a photo of what that looks like until they cut the cake later today.

Did you use the method where you pour a circle of one color then a circle of the other and keep layering them? It worked really well for me. It's a really cute cake.

 

Now it's time to get everything taken care of so you can do it legally! If you haven't already that is.
