This is good for a Cookie Monster head:

For a full bodied one, I think it would need to be a rice crispy cake:

I made a cookie monster head and arms and put on a round 8 inch I think...I used the wilton ball pan and cut cake for the arms..then put real chocolate chip cookies all around.  It wasn't  hard.  I would use a 10 or 12

under the head next time to put the arms resting on. the 8 inch was pushing it!

.Cookie monster cake made with wilton ball pan and put on a 6 inch carved body and larger bottom tier.

Hi Mellbel!

Made a Cookie Monster cake using the Wilton 3D Bear pan.  Cutting off the ears and using them for the hands. It was a mix of Red Velvet cake and Chocolate Pound cake for firmness (both batters mixed together). Fondant was used for the eyes.

Here's one from a CC member: http://cakecentral.com/g/i/1746261/a/1747260/cookie-monster/

Click on her second photo to see it completed (it's incredible) and for a description of the pan sizes, etc.

Here's another: http://cakecentral.com/g/i/1793561/cookie-monster/

There's info in the comment section.
