AHi! I make a marshmallow fondant and when covering cakes after they are stacked and put together, my fondant always bubbles all the way around where my layers are. Is it my filling pushing out? Or is it air bubbles in my fondant where the layers are? Can't seem to not get it to do that!
Are you using a dam between your layers? Fondant is heavy and even if your cake is "settled" with just your crumb coat on, the added weight of the fondant can squish it out. I think it's a filling issue not air bubbles, otherwise you wouldn't be seeing it in consistently the same place. hth
AThank you! I do put a dam, but it's just a size 21tip around, I think your right, cause its all the way around the cake, not just one little spot. Thanks! Ill try to put a thicker stronger dam and see if this helps!
