so I have the 2 piece Wilton 3-d ball pan, I have never used it to make an actual ball( we used it to make a Caterpillar) I have a request for a basketball hoop with a baskets ball now my question is how do I get the ball to sit on the cake without it falling off. any suggestions on how to properly cook the cakes? thanks I will take any help I can with this cake seeing as how they want it Tuesday, o the things we do for friends:)

AI use rose nail in each end to cook through. I cut one end for a small flat surface and put a small piece of cake board under it and support with dowels. I think crafty did a tutorial on making a perfect sphere. I followed it and it was great. I have also put a dowel through it to stabilize it.
