First time making marshmallow foundant. Practically my first time making a cake.. How can I get this rich French blue and bright white color into my foundant?! Is it best to carve a cake when it's frozen? Can I use any frosting to stick the two layers together or does it have to be buttercream. If so how can I make it or get it. This is for my husbands birthday. Thanks for any advice I'm such a newbie but I appreciate all of it! :)

I would buy precolored fondant for the deep blue. I requires so much time and gel colors to make it yourself! I always buy fondant in deep colors and color lighter ones myself. HTH
