Hi

I have to make a tardis cake and was wondering wether to use panels or just ice as normal and then do doors. I think panels you can get right detailing on then let them dry. My worry is how to get them off the flat surface and onto the cake safely! Someone recommended a cookie sheet with cornflour for drying the panels on. Has anyone got a gadget that helps lift the panels onto the cake as fondant quite brittle when dry? Should i just roll the panels thicker?

cheers
