AI was painting pink on fondant with a mixture of white and pink gel colours, to achieve a pale pink. I first tried with the usual few drops of vodka and I noticed it started seperating once on contact with the fondant! I then tried even using no vodka and just the pale pink colour directly onto the fondant, and still the same problem! The colour even darkened once on the fondant. It was as if the white paint just completely evaporated! So, I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so, do you have any solutions? I'm thinking of trying some white colouring powder next time. I want to be able to use the white in my colours to be able to adjust the darkness to my preference. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes...read the section on white beading up on the fondant. I don't know why it does this but it works. http://acaketorememberva.blogspot.com/2013/05/tips-for-painting-on-cakes.html
