AWould love to make this cake can anyone give me some pointers on what to use for the head and support doesn't have to be edible as I would like to make in advance[IMG]http://cakecentral.com/content/type/61/id/3013919/width/200/height/400[/IMG]

Rice Krispy Treats, or a foam head like you would put a wig on. Personally I would use RKT.

Oh and dowels for support just like a tiered cake.

AAs I want to make in advance how long will RKT keep once sculpted or can it be frozen will be covering in fondant when decorating the sponge. The styrofoam heads that I have seen all have the features eyes,mouth etc

AI have made thus cake using the foam head and shaved off the nose. And the one I bought did not have ears. It worked perfectly.

You can sometimes find the foam heads at a local beauty supply store but they are pretty inexpensive on ebay which is where I bought mine.

Use an 8 inch pan to see if your proportions will work- also don't forget to add a neck! It's hard to tell from your pic of the head if there is a neck. RKT keeps for awhile.
