AHello, I've been cake decorating for 2 years now as a hobbie and I am hoping to go into business soon but I am still struggling to find the perfect cake recipe that cooks and tastes perfect..... Which recipes do you prefer for sugarpasted cakes? Thankyou : )) xx
I always use the weight of unbroken eggs ie; 4 eggs is approx. 8 -9 ozs
so then the same amount in SR flour, caster sugar and marg/butter plus a teasp on baking powder.
Then substituting some (rowntree's) cocoa powder for a chocolate cake....at least an ounce!
I have never used a box mix....you will find on here that the resident Americans are split in their opinion of using boxes or scratch recipes.
