AHi. I'm new to all this, including cake decorating. I have so much to do with not only Mother's Day coming up but also a best friends birthday. I want to decorate my mom's cake with candy curls. Can I make them a day or 2 ahead?

You can make them a month ahead!  Just put them in an airtight container and they will be fine.  If your kitchen is warm then you could put them in the fridge.
