I just use my regular vanilla cake recipe and chocolate cake recipe.  I then marble them together in the pan.  Quick and easy...no special recipe.

Biggest mistake people make is the vanilla cake to chocolate cake ratios.  The chocolate can overpower the vanilla really easy!  So when I make it, I just make my regular vanilla cake recipe, scoop out about 1/4 cup and add a few teaspoons of cocoa powder to it (to taste, basically, until I get a rich chocolate flavor).  I then take the vanilla batter, put it in my pans, fill a piping bag with the chocolate batter then poke the tip down in the vanilla batter and swirl it around.  Not too much swirling, not trying to mix the 2, just to marble the 2.  For good measure I may run a tooth pick thru the whole pan to make sure it's well marbled.  Again, not to stir!
