My brother asked me to make him a groom's cake for his wedding. EEK!

He didn't ask for anything specific, but since he's into zombies, I figured that's what it had to be!

I don't want to do any crazy sculpting since I'm still new at cake decorating.

I was thinking of doing a building, with him and his family on top with weapons and sculpt zombies all around out of fondant or gumpaste or modeling chocolate?

so I can make them way ahead of time. The wedding is in 3 weeks. So my question is...

What would be better to sculpt him and the zombies out of? I was thinking maybe 3 inches tall.

Would I be able to start making them now? Or would they crack by then?

Any ideas are welcome :) I still not am completely sure of what I want to do, or what would be easiest.

I presume you don't mean the kind of zombie that's served in a tall glass?icon_biggrin.gif
