AI'm on my phone and I can't figure out how to copy and paste a link... There's a thread about this already. Search this site for the thread titled wave cake. There's a link in that thread for a tutorial. It's in dutch but there's plenty of pictures!

It shouldn't be too hard to carve that design. Mark the top of your cake into 6 or 8 triangles, from the CENTER of each triangle cut down shallowly in a slant till you get to be under the edge/beginning of the next triangle, then slant your knife and cut up to get to the middle of the next triangle. Continue till the entire cake's done.
