When using pillars in a cake do you use them the same way with heart shaped cakes as you do with round ones? I have a request for a wedding cake that is heart shaped with four tiers. She wants the two bottom ones stacked on top of each other then pillars between the second and third tiers and then more pillars between the third and fourth tiers. This is my first wedding cake, first time using pillars and my first time using heart shaped pans. I have searched the Internet on how to do this but can't find anything. Please help.

You should use heart shaped plates. Instead of 4 pillars (like a round plate has) it has only 3. Sort of in a triangle shape. Here is a website that carries them. I have never bought from this site, I just googled Heart shaped cake plates and pillars and this is one of the first pictures that came up.
