AI made this today - not a lot of fondant work except for the figurines. It turned out okay - I really don't like the "mud" but I wonder if it's the cheaper chocolate I used instead of my regular high end quality chocolate. Oh well, I know it will get eaten ;)

AOmg I love this cake!!! I see one like this on Facebook the other day and though to myself I HAVE to do this!! I think you have done a fantastic job there and I love your piggys!!! :)
I think this cake is just FAB. How did you make the mud for the pigs, what type of chocolate did you use. If you don't mind sharing. Thanks. I want to try my hand at this cake
I should let the original poster tell you the correct way to make this because I am very new to this and its just a hobby....
But I was testing out baking in a pyrex bowl I bought.... (long story) and had left over butter-cream which I covered the cake with. I stuck the kit kat to the butter-cream and I used some left over ganache on the top and then popped in piggies on top.
These are great. I have to try this and i'll post mine up...hopefully they look as good as your guys.
adorable pig in mud cakes, they are all cute. and the chocolate probably taste great. ps( mud isn't smooth like glass so you're fine)
