ALooking for some advice. I have recently decided I need to add a terms and conditions form to my cakes. I was wondering if anyone had any advice as to the must haves that I should have on this form. The main reason behind these terms is that I have recently invested in items for my customers to rent, and want to make sure they sign terms saying it will be returned in so many days and state the rental fees. I was considering adding deposit, and cancellations to Thanks everyone

AAs far as rentals be sure to describe that the person renting is responsible...not the caterer or the coordinator or a sisters brothers cousin. Sometimes clients ask other people to return the stand.

ADefinitely collect a refundable deposit for the full replacement cost of the item being rented in addition to the rental fee. You'll also want to collect a nonrefundable deposit (some call it a retainer) for the order itself to hold the date, with the remainder payable before you start making the cake.
