Make Flower Petals To Cover An Entire Cake?

I have to make a cake that has rose petals of all sizes covering the entire side of a 3 teired cake. Any suggestions how to make them or where to purchase them?

what i do is use fondant that has cornstarch and raspberry flavor worked in for loose rose petals

 

we really like to eat dried fondant 'candy' like this

Or if you are using royal icing to create them, if you want them to be big use a lot of pressure on the bag. The smaller you want just use less pressure.
