Ok, so I'm doing a 3D clock cake for a wedding shower, but they also want cookies that are numbered shape..yet incorporated to the clock. ANy ideas on simplicity of decorating these cookies for the wedding shower? They will numbered shaped, but ideas on decorating them? NOthing too elaborate, but cute and easy ..
Thanks so much!
jenifer
but the cookies are not the numbers on the face of the clock
just cookies
hmm
i'd make them the same font as the clock face
i'd prolly just use oval cookies and use a rolled buttercream letter shape
so it stand out with the cookie as just the background
unless you wanna make the number cutters
or you can buy number cutters too of course (duh, kate ;)
doing a search on amazon will give you a nice selection of styles
Ok, so I'm doing the number cutouts for sure,,so needed to know how to decorate the numbers mainly? Thanks!
you could texture them with any of those dozens of designs you can get
then you could dust the raised part of the pattern
or over pipe the raised part of the pattern
you could pipe flowers or stripes on there
you could lay a stencil or a piece of lace on top and spray it with a different color
(test with the lace--some works some doesn't)
you could make stitches on the sides like whip stitching the rolled buttercream to the cookie
you could polka dot them
Ok sounds great! So, now, the wedding shower colors are navy blue and lime green colors, so how can I incorporate those colors into my 3D shaped clock cake to make it look elegant? I can't find an idea to make it look nice and not tacky!! Please help asap! BTW: there will be 2 red hearts in middle of clock somewhere, that they want..too.
Thanks so much!
