AHi everyone I'm new to cake central.

I've been decorating cakes since 2011 and this year I made it my plan to start it as a business so I'm in the process of getting it all up and running but I'm struggling on a business name.

My names lacey my middle name is shae and I'm thinking of something with my name or with out if it sounds better and something with sweets or cakes or any other suggestions anyone has I would really love to hear what you all think

Would really love the help,

Thank you.

business names are so difficult

i have nothing new to offer that you haven't already thought of i'm sure

maybe you would want to incorporate your tagline while you ponder the name itself

i only came up with 'acme cakes' because i just went as generic as possible

because i couldn't decide on ANYthing

and that makes me think of perhaps you going with your location--that always sounds so professional

like mine might be Memphis Bakes

i don't know it's easier to name children & pets huh

good luck

Izzy is not my real name, it is my Roller Derby name and people around here know me as that so that is the only reason I went with that. I like when a name is not hard to say and easy to remember. If a name is hard to say or long it can be easy to forget JMO.

and i could not love the name lacey more but it type casts the business a bit

if a truck driver's family wanted a replica of his rig they might choose abc cakes over lacey cakes

if they were not already familiar with your work

not that you couldn't do a great rig or whatever just saying the name needs to portray so much

for the lace to work you'd need to balance it with denim i think

that's why names are so hard

unless you specialize in chichi frooffroo girlie stuff

I like Lacey Shae's Cakes.  You have a really great name.  My sister and I are opening a bakery on Monday with her son who will run the coffee bar.

We used our initals  and the street we are located on  EJ'S On Oak.  Good Luck,

Yeah I like Liz's initials idea.  Do you want it to be simple and elegant or more jazzy and fun?

L. S. Cakes, Lacey's Baked Goods, Lacey Shae's Cakes, or whatever, then a tag line. I don't know where you are, but

Mouth-watering in Miami

Delectable in Denver

Scruptious in Scranton

Lip-smackin' good in Lubbock

Marvelous in Minneapolis

etc.
