AWhat recipe do you use when making a smash cake? I'm looking for something light but preferably not using a cake mix.

Sorry this is so late but I actually just use either my normal chocolate or normal vanilla recipe. I don't let them choose other flavors for choking hazards and because they really just want the kid to get all messy so I load it up with buttercream :) I hope you figured out what to do but that's my two cents :)
