It's time that I really got down to business and improved my freehand piping! I'd love to be able to pipe without a guide or template. Does anyone know of any tried and true piping exercises out there? Sort of like Chopstick, but for icing? ;)

Cover a piece of lined paper w/plastic wrap and go for it! 

If you want to trace over different words then write or print them out.  This will give you an idea of spacing and size of letters so when you feel you have it down pat, remove the writing and try it w/o.

Piping over and over and over and over (practice, practice, practice) is the only way to learn :)
