Hi

 

Wonder if anyone can help me i'm new to this but I made blue icing for my cupcakes and its turned everyone teeth and tongue blue is there anyway to stop that? the colouring make is sugarflair.

The darker, more intense the color the more chance of that happening.  Also, the newer the icing is (colored, then used almost instantly) the more chance.  Coloring icing ahead of time (at least the night before) helps some but if it;'s a dark color nothing will :(  Just advise customer of that possibility and let them decide how deep a color they want.  Food never really was intended to be dark intense in color.  Using more pastel colors or only slightly deeper helps keep the problem under control. 

Oh BTW: not only will it stain teeth & tongue but will show up in the next day or two in the toilet! :(
