3D Heart Cake - Need Help?

A

I want to create a 3D heart cake laying on its side. Any suggestion how to support this cake.

Ahhh yes, there was an article in a cake magazine (I *think* it was ACD) some time ago with instructions to do this very thing.  I no longer have the magazine but maybe someone on here does & will jump in o help you further.

All I remember is you start out w/stacked layers of sq cakes and carve it.

the answer you received is right on... you build it exactly like kakeladi said (as always--with supports for every 4" of cake height).
