Hello to Everyone!

I am new to this site and have never posted a question before. After reading through the various forums I know this is THE place to get all the help I need!

My husband has requested a Get Well cake for a co-worker of his who has recently broken his toes at work. Hubby would like something that makes reference to this, like bandaged toes or a 3-D cake with wrapped up toes. I thought of a BCT from a picture but even those are difficult to come by. Oh, and get this...he wants it for TOMORROW! No pressure or anything!

So if anyone has any ideas, suggestions, ANYTHING, please let me know!

Pictures if anyone has done something like this would be awesome as well!

Thanks in advance to everyone!

By the way, I LOVE this site and I am so glad that I stumbled upon it!

Thanks again!

(yes, I really am a mom to 21 month old triplet girls!)

I just hate it when my husband springs things on me like that icon_mad.gif (I still love him though icon_rolleyes.gif )
If you don't have a foot pan, bake a sheet cake, carve it so that it's kinda shaped like a foot. Cover most of it with fondant (of any type) so that it looks like a cast, and make it look like toes are peeking out of the cast just slightly.
Hope this helps!

Hi mOuse!

Thanks for the help. I really had a hard time envisioning this 'foot' idea so I decided to try my hand at a frozen buttercream transfer. I have been really wanting to try one so I gave it a shot and I couldn't believe how fun it was!

I used a clip-art picture, enlarged and flipped it and away I went. The cake was finished today so I have posted a picture in the Uncategorized cake file. Definitely a technique I will keep on doing!
