I was asked to make a babyshower cake of a baby in a pumpkin. I understand how to make the pumpkin but how would i make the baby head and pumpkin lid hat?

Cute picture.

The baby head is a ball shape, and the hat might be a fancy cupcake shape. Do you have a small round bowl that you can use to bake 2 cakes? Do you have a mini-bundt cupcake pan? Then you are all set.

If you don't have those shapes, use rice krispies treats and mold them by hand into the shapes.

I was worried it would be really heavy. Do you think i could use a Styrofoam ball for the head? and rice krispies for the hat>

Rice krispies for the head will not be too heavy. Most of the weight will come from the fondant.

You should plan to use a few cut straws for support under the head anyway.
