I recently made Red color by mixing Wilton Red (no-taste) Gel in all-butter Buttercream which is not pure white but slight yellowish due to the butter. I dint get pure red color instead i got a florescent red color which had an orange tinge to it. would really appreciate tips on how to get the desired red color to make roses esp.

I hate making red icing and try to avoid it or buy it. Here is a post from the wilton site on how to make red icing. I hope it helps.
