Hi,

I am new here. I am going to be making a cake for my son's birthday party. Construction themed tiered cake. I want to do a cookies and cream filling, but we also LOVE oreo truffles. Has anyone every put a layer of oreo truffle in a cake? Did it work? Do you think it would work? What about if I put a layer of oreo truffle and cookies and cream. Too much? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! icon_surprised.gif)

Hi!
I think a layer of plain truffle and a layer of cookies and cream would be nice.
Also, whipped ganache with pices of oreo (without the cream) sounds delish.

If your oreo truffles are made with cream cheese like mine, then using them as a filling would require you refrigerate your cake. If you plan to keep it in the fridge anyway then I think it would be awesome with a white cake. I think you may loose the orea truffle if you put it in a chocolate cake. If you don't want to have to fridge the cake, then I would just mix oreos into your regular buttercream for a cookies and cream filling.
