So my niece turned 16 today and her party is on Saturday. They waited until today to figure out exactly what they want (no biggie, I have time, just not much planning). I can do the bucket portion no problem, but I am at a loss on how to make realistic looking fried chicken. I can do cake balls, RKT, whatever I need to do, but How do I get the texture and color on the outside of the chicken pieces? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks cakers!

Once you have the chicken pieces shaped and covered, you could paint them with extract and roll them in very finely ground graham crumbs.

Thanks for the suggestions! I can't believe I didn't think of either one of those, heh.

Here's a link to fried chicken cookies that have a very realistic coating using corn flakes: http://bakeat350.blogspot.com/2011/06/desserts-for-dudes-fried-chicken.html
