Hi all! I'm so eager to push myself with cake decoration and would love to learn how to make the structures for cakes such as a 3d busts/ realistic standing/ dancing animals!!

Pretty much the kind of cakes that look like they are defying gravity and don't look like cakes!!!

Not only how to make the structures but how to go about adding the cake to them once they are made!!

Ive looked everywhere for help and can't find any books/ classes on how to do this!

Im from the uk too...and any classes ive seen are from usa! Sooo frustrating!!

Any help or advice guys id really appreciate it!

Thankooooo icon_biggrin.gif

I havent done any so am probably not the best person to be advising but... I think strategically placed cake boards with center/off centre dowels are often used.

Sorry to not be more useful help, hopefully someone who knows more will be able to give you better guidance!
