So I've already made an "Old Balls" cake previously, and I've received my second request - except this time they want some sort of edible hair on them as well. The cake will be just the balls...so the hair would be on most of the cake. I'm thinking they should be more of a white colour since they're supposed to be "old". Anyone have any ideas?? String licorice would be too thick, chocolate shavings I don't think would be "real" enough... Piping it out in a small tip is really all I can think of at this point. Any ideas would be appreciated - and yes, I know...gross... haha

Try to find some kind of Playdoh toy that you can run your thicker frosting through. Or buy a tip that has multiple openings in it, like Wilton 233 for hair or grass.

Coconut maybe? It's tintable at least. Or maybe whit and dark brown cupcake sprinkles, give it sort of a "salt&pepper" balls effect, lol!
