I am working on a cake for my sons birthday this weekend and I am looking for a filling that will hold well for a day or so. He has requested strawberry, which I have done before but not on a cake covered withMMF. I don't want it to get sticky and it is a 3-D Angry Birds cake. Any ideas? Thanks.

My local cake store has a wonderful strawberry filling that doesn't require refrigeration. I would check with cake supply stores in your area.

How about a white chocolate ganache , with some strawberry oil in it. I put the flavoured oils in once I have brought the cream to the boil but before I put the chocolate in. If you are colouring this is the best time to add the colour too.
