I have an order for a cake next week. The customer wants moth orchids on the cake. No problem I ordered a orchid mold and it arrived today. I must have misunderstood the size of the mold because it is way to small. Now it is to late to order another because of the holiday I would never get it in time. Does anyone know of a template for a moth orchid. This way I can cut just cut the parts out and make the orchids that way. I have watched the tutorials so I have no problem making the orchids.I just need some type of template to give me the different shapes and sizes of the parts.
Is there a cake supply near you to buy the cutters? If you are in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area I have cutters you can borrow.
Take a look at this might be what you need:http://radmegan.blogspot.com/2011/03/making-paper-orchids-how-to.html

Linda Thank you for the kind offer but I'm in New Jersey.
Goreti Thank you for directing me to radmegan website I found a template I can use. Thank you for going out of your way to find these sites.
Try typing in the other name ( phalaenopsis orchid) for moth orchids when searching for tutorials or templates. I used this website to make my flowers 2 weeks ago, except I didn't use wires. I hand cut out the petals and orchid throat. I used Wilton flower formers to dry them on and painted them with purple luster dust mixed with lemon extract, along with Wilton golden yellow gel color mixed with lemon extract. Also I took apart a silk moth orchid and made the template from that. I sure hope this helps.
