I bought a soccer ball pan which is the big one that looks like half of a ball. I was wondering if I could make 2 of the cakes and put them together to make one complete soccer ball. Is that possible?

I've made a whole sphere several times with that pan. You'll need a 9-inch round cake between the half-spheres to fill out the middle. You should insert a board and dowels to support the middle and upper parts.
