At the risk of showing my ignorance, I suppose the best way would be to pleat your fondant, but it can easily be achieved with 3 strips of fondant ribbon as well. You can taper the last strip to make the delicate curve.
It would take less fondant to do 3 strips versus the extra fondant in an actual pleat.
Thanks for your reply I thought about using three strips but I don't think the look will be the same. I was looking for help "pleating" the fondant - I need step by step instructions because I'm not really sure how to get this look. Once the have the pleats, how do I apply it to the cake without messing them up?
