Make the bow out of white fondant and then paint it with gold lustre dust.
Works well!

I would make the bow in a light yellow color and then spray it with the Wilton color food mist spray in gold.

I have used the pearl and the silver and they work pretty good.

Chefmaster also makes a gold spray that works well, too. I get it from my local cake store, but I'm pretty sure you can order it online, too.

If you decide to use gold luster dust, I suggest that you do not use the Wilton brand, because it is very, very pale. It will not look "gold". You might try this brand, instead: http://www.cheftools.com/Super-Bright-Gold-Luster-Dust-2-gr/productinfo/13-0391/

HTH!
