Just getting started finally, with full time cake biz. A couple of questions;
1. Best Commercial Convection Oven? probably smaller 5 shelf
2. Walk-ins, both cooler and freezer any preference?
3. Cake Boss program, like it? worth it?
that't all for now, I'm sure I'll have lots more questions later.

Thanks!

Wish I could help you with the answers, but those questions are above my pay grade icon_biggrin.gif. Only do my baking at home so far, but I do want to say CONGRATS! Hope everything works out for you!

I have a Blodgett convection oven and did a lot of research on the various types but I don't think there is a huge difference between the different brands.

I was afraid to buy a commercial refrigerator due to condensation problems so I just bought regular refrigerators.

I have Cake Boss but not robust enough for a business. I only use it to price out my recipe costs which is nice. For a business, you need Quickbooks.

Thanks Jenise and Lisa! I just looked at a Blogett I think you are probably right on all points. Right now the recipes and the expense are probably what I need. I haven't heard of using Quickbooks, will diffinitely look into it now! Thanks again!
