ive never made that recipe but i have made all kinds of different "velvets" purple worked fine... yellow not so much lol

I have done white velvet <white chocolate > colored... and of course no problems there. Are your other velvets using the box mix? <which generally is pre-dyed red>

no, i make it from scratch. never thought about using white chocolate for a white velvet !!!

CiNoRi, may I ask how you make white velvet cake? I'm used to adding cocoa powder for red velvet, and the one time I tried adding melted chocolate to my batter it didn't rise properly - now I'm wondering if I did something wrong XD
