I bought a nordicware bunny pan: make a 3d bunny cake like my grandmother used to do every year when I was little. I seemed fairly easy but looks are deceiving. My main problem is that the ears cooked faster than the rest of the cake and burned since that area of the pan is so shallow (this is what I assume). How can I achieve even baking? Fill the ears up more?

Any suggestions would be helpful

You dont want to over fill the ears. I think you should start again. What you could do is just when the ears are done, cover them with aluminum foil; and continue to bake until the remainder of the bunny is done.
