I am doing a girlfriend's wedding cake in april...she wants spice cake (which I think of as a holiday flavor).
The cake will be four tiers, so I will do one spice for her. What other flavors do you recommend for tiers to compliment spice cake???

Does she only want one tier in Spice? Are you sure she doesn't want the whole cake in spice? I never thought of it as a holiday flavor myself... I believe my high school graduation cake was spice...

As for what would go good with it... if she wants each tier to be different, I think it particularly wouldn't matter too much since at a wedding most people probably won't be eating each tier together...

You could do Carrot...
You could do a Chocolate with a bit of Hot Pepper...
You could do plain Vanilla even...
You could always do a Marbled Vanilla & Spice layer...
You could also do a plain spice layer, and variations of spice layers like carrot, pumpkin, gingerbread, apple, currant, etc...

I don't try to compliment flavors. I just try to make them diverse and please more people.
