For the picture below, I was thinking pink fondant for the crown then coated in a rose pink luster dust. It appears to be imprinted with a paisley pattern too. As for the dragees, what size do you think? I have NEVER used dragees before. Would I attached them with royal Icing? how would you attach?

I think the crown fondant is dyed through, then dusted after it's dry with shimmer. The dragees shown are 2mm and 5mm. You just need to sprinkle them right after you put on the icing and they will stick all by themselves. HTH!

Thanks for the advice! When you say dyed through, do you mean white fondant colored with a gel or paste? How do you suggest I get the dragees to stick to the crown?

Yep, that's exactly what I mean. You can stick the dragees to the crown with royal.
