Hi Everyone!
I'm just about to start my own business based from home, im a chocolatier and cake decorator.
My weapon of choice is chocolate, and i want a name to desplay my passion.
The name i'm thinking of is 'Eve's Temptation'
...My name is not Eve, but to me chocolate is very much the modern lady's biggest desire
I'd love some feedback!
I'm worried it sounds too much like a fruit and veg shop
o.o
Thanks! Amy

It sounds too much like Victoria's Secret or a sex toy shop.

How about "Amy's Sweet Temptations"? Use your name, they are your products! icon_smile.gif and hopefully the "sweet" will alleviate some confusion as to what you provide. Just a thought.

When you think about a name google it first to make sure you don't get any xrated results... Stay away from anything with fantasy, dreams, temptation.... Took me months to come up with a name.

doesn't sound like chocolate or cake icon_sad.gif sorry. it does take a long time to come up with a business name and you have to make sure to do the necessary research for your area as well as the internet. good luck!

A name that doesn't have anything to do with the industry has an uphill battle. In cases where national companies do this, they have large marketing budgets or they are a chain.

A small company doing this is confusing and also runs the risk of customers not remembering the name due to lack of mental association.

People need to know what you do in a glimpse, because that is all the time you have to get their attention.

Putting Eve and Temptation together in a name gives it a sexual overtone. Using your name is always a good option, it sends an immediate message that a real person is behind the business. (People still think Betty Crocker is a human being.)

My vote is for Amy's Chocolate Temptation.
