Hello everybody,

It's me, the newbie again ;P

There's this little store near my place that sells baking equipment and they also offer printing services. I was curious to know how to ''attach'' the picture to the cake. Do I use gumpaste/water mixture that acts as a glue and brush it over the back of the picture and then apply it to the fondant?

I was thinking of putting it on gumpaste since it will be a little decorative topper on a cupcake, but I wasn't sure on how to proceed.

Also, I was debatin whether to use fondant or gum paste.

any suggestions?

thanks

hi,

You can use either gumpaste or fondant or do a 50/50 mixture of gumpaste and fondant (together) and it will work fine as a backing for yr pic. IF YOU NEED TO USE IT RGHT AWAY and don't have alot of hrs to wait for drying, use only gumpaste and it will dry quicker.

Use either a LITTLE dab of water around the edges or four corners of yr pic then apply to yr backing. Another way is to dab a LITTLE bit of piping gel just as I stated.
