I am looking for ideas on how to make horizontal fondant bands on a buttercream frosted cake even. I love the attached cake and I've never been really good at making sure they are even. I'm thinking toothpicks are a possibility, but how to you cover up the holes?

Any help would be great appreciated!

Get a mountable laser level at home depoticon_smile.gif Put a box or something heavy next to the cake that you can mount the level on. Then turn it on and it will project the straight line onto your cake and you can follow it while placing the fondant ribbon.

That's pretty cool but knowing me mine would still be crooked. It definitely would help apply the fondant ribbon thoughicon_smile.gif
