Has anyone ever used a Wilton cake marker to draw around the sides of a fondant-covered cake? I want to attached ruffles around the side of the cake. Will the marker tear fondant or pull at it?

I have used it and I just made the little holes with the marker. You could do this also and just line up the ruffles.
