OK I've made my Hershey chocolate cake recipe a gazillion times but for some reason this time I added 3 eggs instead of 2. How will this affect my cake...or will it? Need to know something asap....THANK YOU!!

It's scratch so it's always a risk but I think 1 extra egg won't ruin the cake. I would guess it will be slightly more dense but not ruined. Let us know how it comes out. Or if you really want to, you could just double the recipe and freeze the extras.

Thanks sillywabbitz...I like the idea of doubling the recipe...only problem is I don't have enough sugar and no time to go get any...I'll go ahead and bake it with the extra egg and see what happens. I hope it doesn't make it any denser...this recipe is dense enough! Maybe I'll just call it a brownie cake! How bad could that be? icon_lol.gif

Woo hoo! My husband just called me from the grocery store and he's going to pick up some sugar for me. Looks like I'll be doubling after all! Phew...thanks!
