I need to make small marzipan flowers to top cupcakes with, and I want to know how long I can make them in advance before they become too hard to eat. Also, how should I store the flowers when they're done? I will be using store bought marzipan. Thanks!

Marzipan will stay soft as long as it's in an airtight container. It will definitely dry out a little the same day, but won't get crunchy or hard. It's interesting because they are just dry on the outside but they are still pliable and soft. This does not affect the taste in any way. It is still delicious even when it's a little dry.
