Help! How To Decorate An Open Book?

Hi there! I'm supposed to make an open book cake for next week and haven't the slightest idea of how to decorate it!! icon_sad.gif

I'd love to use fondant, but I'm wondering how can I get the sides to look like real pages?? and also how do I get the top pages to look all nice and curly?? This is what I'm talking about:

The first set of pictures on this will be particularly useful for doing the frilled edges. If you don't want the diagonal lines in the fondant which you can see on the cake just cover the cake twice with fondant. You'll understand what I mean when you look at the pics...
