I am making a fondant/gumpaste rock climber for a cake due in 2 weeks..I want to know the best way to attach the cimber to the side of the cake without him falling out?

I thought about just piping a BC figure but I already made the pregnant wife for ontop in Fondant and she is really cute...I kinda want to use the same medum but am worried about him falling off...

Any suggestions!!

I'd put some toothpicks (about 1-1.5") in his hands and feet when he is still wet and use those to anchor him in. If you are doing a fondant covered cake then add a dab of water to him where he will touch the cake sides for added adhesion. I just used bamboo skewers to attach the handle on my mug cake, one at the top and one at the bottom with a little water for glue. Worked like a charm.

Just make sure you tell the customer to remove him before cutting.
